Automotive Support and Display Systems

The principles and reasoning behind our design:

We saw the need for a car support system primarily for the home user. There were only very few options available on the market and all appeared to have fairly major drawbacks with their inherent design/material selection verses cost. (i.e usability and value for money).

A light weight construction was high on our criteria for safe and easy use. Steel ramps were initially investigated but the two main problems of weight and rust (finishing requirements) pointed us towards a lighter solution. Our chosen material selections gave us an end product of unrivalled quality and longevity being manufactured solely from aluminium and stainless steel.

      Clearly the best solution!

Multitudes of calculations backed up by structural testing of samples were carried out with aluminium ramps to determine the required design integrity for the system. Our designs were then subject to a European wide Design Registration to protect the intellectual property of our design concept.

The ramps despite being the heaviest item in the whole construction weigh only 20 kilograms each but can safely support a 2000 kg gross vehicle! This offers a practical and safe system for the end user to handle.

The ramps are very easy to handle and store on or against a wall or even underneath the car.

The 40cms height is ideal for use with a Car Creeper.  Remember there is a further 10 to 15cms to the underside of most cars and a further lift of 10cms available with the use of cross bridges giving a working gap between 50 and 65cms. The height selection also allows the unit to be used in many standard garages without your car roof hitting the ceiling!

Another of our main priorities was to develop a system which could be utilised for many different applications, from raising the car purely for concourse cleaning to full vehicle restorations and strip downs. This was achieved, with the extra wide ramps, ideal for laying out tools and equipment, making tasks very straightforward - no more lost tools into the bargain?, well maybe not!.

Why not join our happy restorers and enthusiasts!

With the assembly, simplicity and safety were seen as our main priority although we did end up with a very rapid system in terms of assembly.  For the main ramp and lift post assembly stainless steel pins were located with large R-Clips. The additional cross bridges sit on top of the ramps and are securely bolted through the side walls of the ramps.

Where necessary for specialist applications, we can develop specific lifting kits as the one designed for the Lotus Elise. The lifting beams were designed with the Elise's special and 'critical' lift points in mind. They allow the Lotus designed lift points to be utilised in a multitude of different lifts i.e. both front wheels at the same time, both rears, both drivers side wheels, both kerb side wheels or indeed all 4 wheels together.

The system was further developed with the modern Franchised Dealer showroom in mind. Due to the quality construction and appearance, our system is ideal for further highlighting vehicles in main dealer showrooms or museums. With the addition of lighting systems, stunning window displays can be created to attract passing potential customers. We utilise rubber edging on all areas which come into contact with expensive tiled floors. For display purposes and security the jacks can be taken away once the system is raised.
